How to play

Two puzzles a day, both about what houses are worth.

Appraise

• Three homes that really sold, one at a time. You get the facts an appraiser works from, a floor plan and the city they're in.
• Name a price. A guess right on the money scores 100; you lose 2 points for every 1% you're off.
• Stuck? Pull a comp: a similar home nearby that sold around the same time. You can pull two per house, and each one costs 10 points.

Build

• You get a city and a budget. Answer the questions to design a house: stories, bedrooms, size, where it is, how good the schools are.
• When you're done, the house is appraised from that city's real sales. Get as close to the budget as you can, over or under.

The floor plans are drawn to fit each home's facts. They aren't the real layouts.
